Are You Taking That Mixer to Cambodia?!?!

One of the non-essentials we packed for our world wanderings was our mixer. We love to bake cookies and other items for family and friends. We were at Joyce’s making strawberry bread for family and a fellowship hour and Heath bar cookies. Joyce really likes this type of cookie from a local grocery store so Dana (surprise—not Brian who does most of the baking) made them. Out came the mixer and baking started! Joyce was enjoying the smell of the baked goods in her kitcen and then took a look at the mixer and asked, “Are you really taking that to Cambodia?” We told her that we brought the mixer along so when we visit family we can bake them something special—cookies, birthday cake, or a new concoction.

The weekly word of wisdom is that you never know when you need a mixer to bake up something special. We will be giving our beloved mixer to Joyce BUT when we go to Cambodia guess what might be one of our first purchases? You guessed it…a mixer so we can start making memories and baked goods for new friends in a new place.
